IGNOU BSW Course Details
IGNOU offers a BSW for a minimum duration of 3 to 4 years and maximum duration of 6 to 8 years. It is available under the School of Social Work. It is advised to all students to show proficiency in English and hindi speaking and writing as it is the main medium of instruction. IGNOU BSW Assignment 2026
Students can find assignments for their respective program online on IGNOU website. University does not accept type assignments, hence only hand written assignments are allowed. Use of red pens is not allowed except blue and black ink pens. Submissions of the assignment are required to be done before the last date. As the Coordinator or Study Centre has the right to reject the assignments received after the due date. Students need to attach a photocopy of the question paper and identity card along with the assignment. Indira Gandhi National Open University provides study material for all programs in printed form, digitized and soft copy. Students can download a soft copy of self learning study material from E-gyankosh website or IGNOU E-Content mobile App. Which is a digital repository of educational resources of IGNOU- www.egyankosh.ac.in/. Currently, it has 3923 courses of 384 programmes of IGNOU. The printed material for both theory and practical is given to the students in the form of a book or e-book, comprising blocks and units.
Including audio-video material, which is also telecast on National Network of Gyan Darshan and Swayamprabha channels and selected stations of All India Radio for audio programs. Students also have access to IGNOu library which has 1,56,905 printed books, 7900+ e-journals and 1700 e-books.
IGNOU Hall Ticket
Students’ hall tickets are uploaded on IGNOU website before the commencement of the TEE. No hall ticket will be given to students physically, instead they have to download from the website. Students have to take out a printout of the hall ticket after entering the enrolling number and name of the programme of study. No students will be permitted inside the examination hall without a hall ticket. If any student loses their admit card, he/she must apply for a duplicate identity card before the exams start. Also, students who have done online admission can download their ID card online.
